#Saudi Arabia calls on to criminalize insulting eligion, Prophets and Holy Books

Geneva, Jumada II 3, 1436, Mar 23, 2015, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia called today upon the international community to confirm a law against the phenomenon of insulting religions, ethnic and cultural intolerance.
Addressing the Human Right Council in Geneva during the interactive dialogue, Saudi Ambassador to the United Nations Faisal Terad said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is working hard to be at the forefront of supporting international mechanisms for protection and promotion of human rights.
He added that the freedom of expression without legal framework will lead to violation of religious and ideological rights.
He stressed that the Kingdom was one of the first countries paying attention to this issue through establishment of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue in Vienna.
